He also served as the former Judge Advocate General (TJAG) of the Netherlands\u2019 Armed Forces, in the rank of Brigadier General. Van 2010 \u2013 2013 was hij militair lid van de Militaire Kamer van het Gerechtshof Arnhem \/ Leeuwarden. Momenteel is hij voorzitter van diverse adviescommissies ten behoeve van de ministeries van Binnenlandse Zaken en Koninkrijksrelaties, Defensie en Financi\u00ebn. Hij is Extern Raadadviseur van het ministerie van Defensie.<\/p>\n<p>As former and Honorary President of the globally operating International Society for Military Law and the Law of War (2012 \u2013 2018), Mr. Spijk possesses a very broad experience in organizing and chairing national and international legal events.
